Welcoming the new year

Welcome to a happy new year. You haven’t spoken much about the grief and pain you’ve experienced last year. You had a belief system set to preserve the best parts of you for those around you, keeping yourself silent, suffering alone. You’ve made your way here this evening, sharing openly and even committing quietly that you’d like to write more frequently, braving this journal. I’m glad you’re here.

Such is divine nature; this season also coincides with the culmination of another cycle, the closing of your past work. Congratulations, holding the vision you have for this space and allowing months of challenges embolden you and your work is the strongest show of personhood I have ever seen in you; signs of legacy.
