What Empowerment Looks Like
When we embark on a journey of personal transformation, we begin with a vision in mind of who we want to be. Parts of that vision come from what’s been shared with us—by the people around us, through books we’ve read, movies we’ve seen, and the collection of stories from other people’s lives. These are stories of success, of how human beings rose into their wellbeing, healing and recovering from anything that didn’t honour the values and care of their life and the lives of those they love.
Empowerment calls on the parts of ourselves that have been neglected, unloved. That can be our health, our homes, our belongings, our relationships, our experiences, our opportunities, our freedom, our expression to Sacred Source, Creator, God, Universe, Love, our education, our artistic abilities, and so much more. That is why cultures all around the world speak of Love as a powerful force—it is unpredictable because of its infinitely unique expressions in people. And it changes lives because it is the truth of this world’s existence—its essence.
When empowerment becomes the calling, it is an exercise. And I remind you to encourage yourself and choose, in every moment, to be present with it. To look beyond the challenges and move through them. Your empowerment is not the challenge itself—it is your ability to transmute yourself through it, so that it no longer has the power to make you suffer. Your empowerment, with your specific and special patterns and designs in life, is a testament to the evolution of your family, your society, your nation, your human race. That is how valuable you are.
It is the brave and purpose-led people who have the strength to call on the energy of empowered transformation that welcome these changes. These are the changes you make in your life so you can live with the fullness and beauty that life truly is—everything else is just what you meet on the way.
These are simple descriptions of a path that unfolds in unpredictable ways. And I know it can feel far more complicated and difficult than it may sound. Empowerment teaches us that we can nourish those parts of ourselves that need care. That we deserve to be Loved fully and wholly—not because we are better than anyone else, but because no one is better than us.
That is to say: you are a carrier of the light of Sacred Source. A being of perfection imperfection. And you have all the possible means to be well. You can be the champion and advocate for the quality of your life and the expression of your Love, especially when you know that there is something more divine that is honours through your joy.
Wellbeing is a beautiful gift. It cannot be taken away from you. And if you’ve ever experienced loss of any kind, remember that your wellbeing is what you hold within you—and what you share with others. What stays with you is the mark of Sacred Source, Creator, God, Universe, and of True Love.
