Thank You For Forgiving

Thank you for forgiving yourself — For forgiving the part of you that chose to love human beings who felt wrong for you, but you hoped that maybe things were different. Thank you for forgiving yourself for trying. Thank you for forgiving yourself for feeling like you made mistakes, when you were simply learning and understanding people — and how to live your life.

But most importantly, thank you for never forgetting who you are. Even in the darkest times in your life, you chose love — as love itself.

Thank you for buying yourself two cakes today. Even though, by the world’s standards, it may seem like an illogical choice — love isn’t logical. Love is true.

The truth is, you are holding yourself so closely, knowing that you are making really meaningful and challenging decisions every day. You know you need to give yourself the gifts that no one else is giving you right now. You know that the success of your life is rooted in how deeply you can love the truth of who you are.

Thank you for knowing — and having compassion today — towards the feeling that choosing love for yourself can be messy. Thank you for being fierce about your boundaries and for showing yourself freely, online and in life.

Most powerfully, thank you for walking away from the energy that shamed you, and continuing to walk toward a vision of the beautiful life ahead.
